Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is rather a collective term for an aggregate of techniques that address deeper layers of soft tissue. Those techniques are Trigger point therapy, Neuromuscular therapy, Myofascial release, etc. Deep tissue techniques are used for chronic aches and spasms, and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Results are reduced muscle pain, increased mobility and accelerated recovery after injuries, to name a few. Deep tissue massage is usually administered on the local areas, and is often combined with other techniques, like Swedish massage or Sports massage. In Modern Massage Studio, we call these combinations a Custom massage.

Usually it is a full body massage, when therapist uses smooth, flowing strokes with up to a medium pressure, gentle rocking and sometimes heavier pressure. Relaxation massage eases muscle tension and promotes lymph and blood circulation, helping immune system. It promotes a stress relief, general relaxation and better sleep.
